Remote Control Trailer Dollies: Comparing Parkit360’s Wireless Lineup

Remote Control Trailer Dollies: Comparing Parkit360’s Wireless Lineup

If you own a trailer, then at some point you’ve experienced the familiar anxiety of backing into a tight laneway or a crowded storage unit. We’ve been there too. That’s why we created Parkit360 trailer dollies: so that no trailer owner has to experience that stress again.

What started with a simple, motorized mover has now grown into a complete lineup of electric trailer dollies with unique capabilities. And in recent years, we’ve seen growing demand for remote-controlled trailer dollies, which offer even greater visibility and precision.

In fact, they’ve become so popular that we now have two wireless remote models: the Carrier 13K and the Transformer 15K.

Why Wireless? The Benefits of Remote Operation

So, why are wireless electric trailer movers becoming the popular choice? Here are a few key benefits that set them apart:

1. 360-Degree Visibility

With a remote-controlled trailer dolly, the operator can move around the vehicle, getting a 360-degree view while their rig is in motion: no blind spots (the typical truck problem), and no pausing to reassess.

2. Precision Control

Remote-controlled trailer dollies give you spot-on steering like no other electric models out there. Thanks to their independent dual motors or rugged tank treads, you can count on them for true zero-turn maneuverability.

Performance on Real Terrain

And now for the real question: how well do Parkit360 wireless remote trailer dollies hold up on tough terrain? After all, a remote-controlled trailer mover is a great idea, but it’s only so helpful if it’s limited to flat, level surfaces.

Happily, our dollies are designed with multiple terrain uses in mind! The Transformer 15K features 6.5”-wide drive tires, ideal for packed gravel and firm dirt and grass, as well as paved surfaces. The Carrier 13K can conquer all of the same terrains and has a staggered 6-wheel design for better movement on uneven ground.

Then there’s the age-old question of whether the dollies can handle slopes. We will answer that with a resounding “Yes!” Though steep driveways pose a risk when moving a trailer remotely, both the Carrier and Transformer models can handle grades up to 6% for lighter trailers (under 10,000 lbs GVWR) and 4% for heavier rigs (over 10,000 lbs GVWR).
